Welcome to Picadilly & Company
Picadilly & Company, creating home decor knick knacks one party at a time. We provide you and your guests a fun evening creating a home decor items while in your home. It's a great venue for a Girls Night Out, family get together, etc. However, before we can create them in your home, I create them for my home. And there are some things I do, that I just cannot bring to someone's home. So, check out what I'm working on, maybe it will inspire you. Currently I am preparing for our holiday homes tour. I will begin decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. In the meantime I am creating different projects to decorate with. So, the ideas I am sharing do not show the final stage often due to that. In December I will post pictures of the final outcome. Thanks for stopping by. And please, check out the website above!

Santa's Magic Key
Update 12/16/11: I am so surprised that over 12,000 people have looked at this post on my blog! Wow, thank you Pinterest and everyone for noticing my work. Please feel free to use the poem I wrote for personal use. However, I ask that you not use the poem itself if you intend on selling the Santa Key. Thank you!
Original Post:
I wish this were an original idea, however it is not. But, I couldn't resist creating one for our home when I saw it on Pinterest. I googled Santa Key and found several versions of it. In our home we celebrate Christ's birth and add the whimsy of Santa Claus too for the Christmas holiday. So, I wanted the poem to reflect that. Therefore I just wrote my own. I simply wrote the poem, and used my Cricut to cut the tags. I then used a brown ink pad to add a border. The fun little key I found at Michael's in their $1 bins for well, $1.50, so I guess they aren't $1 bins.
The poem reads:
Dear Santa,
This magic key works just for you,
Please open the door and come on through.
Thank you for coming to our house tonight.
We are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Santa for the gifts you bring.
Thank you Lord for everything.
